The Snake-like Water Filter System – Aerial Architectural Photography

Posted by Michael Gabriel Sumastre

This is Maynilad’s snake-like water filter system, which stretches for about 2 kilometers. For size-comparison: at the right of the screen you’ll see a tiny white van. The center concrete serves as the road.

This is at La Mesa Dam and Reservoir in Quezon City, Philippines. On the right, you’ll see glowing green algae.

Assignment: Architectural and facilities (dams, plants, buildings, etc) photography with aerial and ground shots. This is a 3-day shoot. I used my Canon 5D Mark iii DSLR camera (with a Canon 24mm 1.4L ii wide angle prime lens) and DJI Phantom 3 drone.

Client: Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS)

Locations: La Mesa Dam, Angat Dam,Ipo Dam, and some of MWSS’ and Maynilad‘s treatment plants and facilities.

Deliverable for aerial photography service: Out of more than 500 aerial images I took, 73 best photos will be submitted to the client. ALL are high-resolution pictures.
